Two-Day Zagora or a Three-Day Desert Tour: How to Choose

A desert trip should be chosen around the route, nights away and travel format you want. Our two-day Zagora tour has one camp night. The three-day tour has a first night on the route and a second night in a Merzouga desert camp. Both are offered in shared and private formats.

Two-day Zagora: one night away

The Zagora experience includes an overnight stay in a camp in Zagora. It is the shorter option in the catalog for travellers choosing between these two products.

A shorter duration does not remove the travel between Marrakech and the camp. Ask for the complete route, scheduled stops and expected driving time before deciding whether it fits your stay.

Ask for the driving schedule attached to your selected itinerary, including the stops and return arrangements.

Three days: a route night, then Merzouga

The first night of the three-day experience can be in Dadès Valley, Kalaat M’Gouna or Tinghir, depending on the itinerary selected. These are alternatives for that first night, not three overnight stays within one tour.

The second night is in a desert camp in Merzouga. Check which first-night location, hotel and camp are attached to the offer you choose.

Return to Marrakech is the default finishing arrangement. A Fez finish is available as an add-on to the three-day tour when selected in the booking. Confirm its price and transfer arrangements before paying.

Shared standard and shared upgraded accommodation

Shared standard and shared upgraded options use shared transportation with other guests. The accommodation tier changes; the transport remains shared.

An upgraded room or camp choice should not be confused with a private vehicle. Confirm the exact accommodation and what the upgrade includes.

Shared arrangements use an English-speaking driver. A separate tour leader is not guaranteed on every departure, so do not assume that a dedicated guide accompanies every stage.

The private option

A private tour provides an English-speaking driver and accommodation arranged for the selected offer. It allows your party to discuss the journey in more detail, while still working with the booked itinerary.

Check whether local guides at individual stops are included. A private driver is not automatically a dedicated guide inside every monument or town.

What is included, and what needs checking

The described desert offers include transportation, camel rides, breakfasts and dinners. Pickup and drop-off are arranged from accessible accommodation or an agreed accessible meeting point.

Lunch is not listed among the confirmed meal inclusions. Confirm any entrance tickets, local guides, drinks and extra transfers rather than assuming they are covered.

  • Check the exact first-night hotel and camp.
  • Compare shared transport separately from accommodation upgrades.
  • Confirm the finishing city and any Fez add-on.
  • Ask for the complete route and travel schedule.
  • Read the final payment and cancellation terms before booking.

Choose the itinerary you have time to enjoy

Choose Zagora when the one-night format suits your available time. Choose the three-day tour when you want the stated two-night route and Merzouga camp stay. If you want to finish in Fez, arrange that within the three-day offer rather than leave it as a request for the last morning.
